Deputy Ross McCammon started his career in Law Enforcement in 1976 with the Houston Police Department (H.P.D.). During his 27 years with H.P.D. Officer McCammon’s assignments included , Warrant Service, Patrol, Mounted Patrol, Motorcycle, Vice, and Special Response Group and Tactical Units. Officer McCammon has received numerous Citizen and Departmental letters of commendation, including the Houston Police Department Chief of Police Commendation. Officer McCammon Honorably Retired from H.P.D. in 2004 as a Senior Police Officer.
Officer McCammon was deputized as a Deputy Constable under Constable Jerry Fisher in 2006. Deputy McCammon is currently assigned to the Warrant Division. Deputy McCammon’s work assignments have included being a member of the Gulf Coast Violent Offender’s and Fugitive Task Force as a Special Deputy United States Marshal. Deputy Constable McCammon has received numerous letters of commendations from Citizens, as well as Outside Police agencies, including the League City Police Department’s Chief’s Coin of Excellence for Outstanding Performance. Deputy McCammon was named the 2009 Deputy Constable of the year from the 50 Club of Galveston County, and also received the Patriot Award from the League City Chamber of Commerce.
