Please be advised that in light of the ongoing concerns and safety risk due to Covid-19, the following is in place until further notice for the 405th Judicial District Court:
 
 
There will be NO IN-PERSON settings unless expressly set by the Court.
 
The Court remains open but will operate via email and via telephone.
 
Criminal Status conferences will be conducted via email at the scheduled time of setting with the State initiating the email and including all parties. If the State and defense have worked out a plea agreement on a bond case, the plea will be conducted in person with date and time set by the Court with appearance of defendant only, defense counsel and court staff.  All persons shall practice social distancing and are required to wear masks at all times.
 
Civil Status Conferences will be conducted via email at the scheduled time of setting with Plaintiff Counsel initiating the email and including all parties.
 
All other Criminal and Civil hearings will be set in accordance with the Court’s policies, procedures and the approved County plan.  All hearings will be heard via Zoom.
 
Criminal trials will be set and conducted in accordance with the OCA guidelines and the approved County plan.
