Tropical Storm Edouard is making landfall east of the Sabine Pass. Impacts here in Galveston County are expected to be limited primarily to periods of rain, 3-5 inches possible.

The Galveston County Office of Emergency Management is working closely with the @NWSHouston and our local, state, and federal partners to monitor the storm and coordinate any response that may be needed.

If you’re out and about this afternoon/evening, please drive carefully. If we see periods of heavy rainfall, remember: Turn around, don’t drown. Never drive through a flooded roadway.
