Only individual property owners abutting an unopened County right-of-way may apply for an extension of an existing county road at County expense. Such road openings must be for the purpose of providing access to a permanent residence or place of business.

The following documents are required with your submittal:
• Copy of your recorded deed
• Current Tax Certificates for all property owned in Galveston County (this can be obtained from the Tax Office)
• Plat map or survey showing location of road to be opened
