  Am I required to e-file?
  
  The Texas Supreme Court has mandated all attorneys to electronically file documents in a Galveston County Civil/Family/Provate cases through an electronic filing service provider certified by the Office of Court Administration. Pro Se litigants may still hand file their documents. More information about e-filling can be found on the Judicial Committee on Information Technology's website.
  
  Are all trailers or semi-trailers considered special inventory?
  
  State law requires that trailers or semi-trailers weighing 4,000 pounds or less must be registered but not titled. Trailers or semi-trailers of any weight used for farm or ranch purposes must be registered, but are not required to be titled. Untitled trailers are not special vehicle inventory.
  
  Are bats and Purple Martins effective at killing mosquitoes?
  
  Bats and Martins consume some mosquitoes but not any more than they consume other insects. Basically they don’t consume enough to make a difference.

Save on Postage - Use Our Dropboxes

Yellow drop boxes are located at each full-time office. All payments, correspondence, voter registration applications, etc. deposited in yellow drop boxes are collected each morning after 8:30 am and processed as of the previous business day within three days. The Friendswood satellite office has a black drop box located at the side driveway of Friendswood City Hall. Items deposited in Friendswood are picked up every Monday and processed as of the Friday before. We suggest noting the date and location on the envelope to ensure proper postings for all items placed in our dropboxes.

Free parking is available in the uncovered parking lot and covered parking garage, both located on 20th Street, directly behind the courthouse. Disabled parking spaces are available in both parking areas.

Directions from I-45 north of Webster: South on I-45 and exit FM 518 at League City. Turn left to the second traffic light (Calder Drive), turn right. The building is located on the left. Free parking is available at the front and side of the building.

Directions from State Highway 3 north of Webster: South on State Highway 3 and turn right onto FM 518. At the intersection of FM 518 and Calder Drive, turn left. The building is located on the left.

Directions from I-45 south of League City: North on I-45 and exit FM 518/League City exit and move to the right lane (Calder Drive . Follow the right lane onto FM 518, continue to the second traffic light, turn right onto Calder and the building is on the left. NOTE: You can access Calder Drive more directly from I45 via League City Parkway - it is not immediately accessible. Exit League City Parkway, pass through the intersection, turn right off the feeder onto Link Road then left onto Calder at the four-way stop.)

Directions from I-45 north of Texas City: I-45 South and exit FM 1765. Continue on FM 1765 (left). At State Highway 146, FM 1765 becomes Texas Avenue. Continue on Texas Avenue. The building is located on the left, approximately 1.2 miles past the intersection of SH 146. Free parking is available at the front and rear of the building.

Directions from I-45 south of Texas City: I-45 North to FM 1765. Turn right (east) on FM 1765. At State Highway 146, FM 1765 becomes Texas Avenue. Continue on Texas Avenue. The building is located on the left, approximately 1.2 miles past the intersection of SH 146.

Directions from I-45 north of La Marque: I-45 to exit FM 1764/FM 2004. Proceed through the light on the feeder road to FM 2004 to State Highway 6. Turn right onto SH 6 and continue approximately 2.5 miles. The building is located on the right. Free parking is available at the front and side of the building.

Alternate route: You may also exit State Highway 646 and proceed to State Highway 6. Turn left. The building is located approximately ¼ miles past the first traffic light.

Directions from Galveston: I-45 to exit State Highway 6 at Bayou Vista. Continue east through Hitchcock and past the intersection of SH 6 and FM 2004. The building is located on the right approximately 2.5 miles from the intersection of SH 6 and FM 2004.

Friendswood - Satellite Office

Office Hours: Thursday 7:30 am to 5:30 pm (closed from Noon to 1:00 pm for lunch) and Friday from 8 am to Noon.

The black drop box is located at the rear of the City Hall building and is accessible 24 hours a day. All payments will be collected on Thursday, Friday and Monday mornings.

Directions from I-45: I-45 to any of the three available exits: FM 2351, FM 528 or FM 518:

From FM 2351, turn left onto FM 518/Friendswood Drive and proceed to the City Hall building located on the right.
From FM 528, turn right onto FM 518/Friendswood Drive and continue to the City Hall building located on the left.
From FM 518, proceed through League City and into the City of Friendswood. The City Hall building is located on the left.

Directions from Pearland: Take FM 518 east to Friendswood. The City Hall building is located on the right.
